Bhojwani-Blend, Build and Blossom
 The Bhojwani Academy is a school which is different from most other schools. A
different style of teaching, projects and activities is what makes it a school with an
entirely different attitude. Founded in 1996- the academy was born of a dream- a
dream of a professionally managed school based on a firm foundation of educational
philosophy and well-defined values. The principal Mrs. Madhavi Kapoor says that the
biggest difference Bhojwani Academy and other schools is the small size. It has 466
students from Senior KG to Std 10 and also an open class. Her aim is to keep the school
small which helps in keeping the teacher-student ratio high so that individual attention
is provided.
 Admissions are granted on the basis of an admission test from standard two
onwards but the main criteria is a family meeting where she can get to know what the
parents are expecting from the school so as to avoid misconceptions about the school later
on.The school has 100% results in the SSC board exam, but does not measure or compare
itself with others on the basis of its results. Along with academics the goal of the
school is to cultivate a child’s desire for moral values. The atmosphere in the
school is one of gaiety and laughter. There are no discipline rules imposed upon the
children as each student bears responsibility for himself. The children in their bright
uniforms all enjoy school and have all developed tolerance and affection for those
different to them. There are special teachers who cater to children with a slight handicap
make sure that they 'fit in'. Mrs. Madhavi Kapoor states that she has never really had to
face any very difficult or unmanageable situation and in fact enjoys her job thoroughly.
The most satisfying aspect of her job is the feedback she gets from society for having
created an academy which believes in the synthesis of science and philosophy, external
achievement and inner growth.
