Shes
soft-spoken, pretty, young and wise beyond her years. A real winner, Suchita Kudale runs
Entre Nous (French for between you and me), one of Punes premier event management
agencies. Suchita was an active member at Jaycee, where she organised events zealously.
Putting her efforts on a commercial scale along with colleague Shirley Sequeria, they made
event management quite a profitable profession. She began with organizing seminars and
work paid off and her ideas and efforts met with an overwhelming response. Entre Nous was
born at that time the concept of CAD was new in Pune. Though she did not know much, she
made an effort of finding out everything and organized the entire package. Her work paid
off and her ideas and efforts met with an overwhelming response. Entre Nous was born. She
was then joined by Shirley Sequeria who had a passion for Indian drama and the rest is
history.
Of course, due to her young age people often found it difficult to take her
seriously. Though her sincerity and confidence was but obvious and there were a lot of
people out there to encourage her. She decided to inject a little life into Pune, to make
it as exciting as any other city. She introduced an entirely different concept of
supper theatres into Pune. While she
admits, her most memorable play ever, Im not Baji Rao, because it was
the first of its kind. It was houseful and we were thrilled by the response. Now
what also takes up large part of Suchitas attention and time are the workshops she
organizes for kids. Workshops for children between 7 and 13 are organized every Saturday
where children are allowed to do whatever they want. Being restricted at school and at
home, Suchita feels that this is the place she can really watch them grow and bloom. As
for the future, she is making sure that this world is a better place for the kids. Now
that Shirley is in New Zealand and Suchita has to manage on her own, she says that it
really doesnt make that much of a difference as Shirley is always there mentally
with Suchita. E-mail has helped a lot in keeping the two still working together.
The best part is that she is not in it for the money. Money has
never been the most important factor and she has just been doing what she enjoys and what
she is good at. A lot of their work is organized in aid of SOFOSH (an orphanage at the
Sassoon Hospital). Well, between you, successful Suchita, and me theyre already
halfway there.
