San
Marino, Imola - April 13th - 15th - 2001
About the San Marino GP
Even though Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger will forever remain in the racing
fans heart, the tragedies of seven years ago are now nearly forgotten at Imola, and
the race has moved on. Atmosphere, as one would expect, is still electric with Tifosi
turning out in their droves to see their treasured red cars in action, and the team
normally responds with a good performance. Last year Michael Schumacher thrilled the fans
by taking his third win out of three. Teams still enjoy visiting there, with the legendary
Italian cuisine, and normally clear, sunny weather.
Set up
Medium downforce, for this generally quick circuit. Suspension is set at stiff levels for
stability. Grip can be sacrificed at Imola, where an all-round balance is required to be
competitive.
